Break out the feather boas and sassy high heels (except for Dave Alston, of course) – I’m joining the incredibly smart Radian6 community team!
I can’t even begin to explain the awesome and how excited I am.
I’ll be joining the Radian6 team as Community Manager, where my role will specifically focus on the support of clients in the agency market – public relations, advertising, communications, marketing. I’ll also be working with the community team to create content, attend/speak at events, focus on agency related discussion and provide feedback on how we can improve in the agency realm.
Agencies are my passion. I love the way they work, how they work tirelessly to build some awesome brands. I’ve worked on both the corporate and agency side, and nothing can even compare to the adrenaline and thrill of working with clients and seeing results.
It wasn’t an easy decision to leave the PR team at Moroch – a place where passion for brands and hard work is rampant in the hallways and on a daily basis.
However, this was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up. My passion also had a home in the social space and how strategy/knowledge could be implemented to prove quantitative and quantitative results to brands. There’s a need for knowledge on how to present social media to brands, how to showcase it and how to best leverage. Bridging my expertise on agency dynamic, client culture, brand building and social media strategy/execution/metrics knowledge is exactly where I want to be in a job role.
If you know me, I’m the type that reads and questions constantly. Picking brains and coming to my own conclusions is a favorite pastime. Along the way, I’ve gotten to know some incredible agency people working on social strategy that I now get to work with.
The thing is, it couldn’t be just any opportunity. I’m as loyal to my employer and their philosophies as I am to the brands I’ve helped build. Because of this, I have to work somewhere where they live and breathe what they say on a daily basis. You don’t have to look far in the social technology space without thinking of Radian6. They encompass that mentality with ease and better than anyone I’ve seen. I can’t even describe what an opportunity like this means to me.
I joined Twitter in June 2008 to start building the American Mensa brand. What a crazy rollercoaster it has been of learning, networking and debating with some of the smartest people around. I feel like I’ve finally found my niche and groove with Radian6.
Let’s do this.
